My Travails With Click |||

I am wondering

What should I say

What a Camera is..

When I was young

They took pictures

Umpteen of them..

Or so I felt

Even though I

Count by digits

As I grew up

I started to use

FAST

(Focus, Aperture, Speed and Time)

Does it sound like

Collecting apples

Under an apple tree,

As the sunsets into West

And moon shines through

The terrain until the pinnacle

So, colored films

Kashmir tours

Lal Quila and Qutub Minar

Girls in colors, with vaccination

Sunset reflections of friends

Near Dal Lake and Amritsar

The delicious Dhabewala’s alu-roti

I had to leap through the times

Over half a century or almost 3/4th

Digital camcorders to androids

Droid says AI

Why oh my!

It was cute when I was 5!

Shadows Of The Past; Weighing Into The Now

Many nights are gone

Never know to where

A distant past, still exists

Sometimes the fragrance

Kindles some memories

You can never know why

As the future's hiding so shy..

Certain things just happen

You would never imagine

That your very own shadow

Might lead you into a dungeon

Why the things that worry you,

Are merely shadows too,

Of past weighing into the now,

Nowhere do you find them

Never would you ever know

Just A Statement

I will not ask your permission
If I like to say how much you mean to me
There may come a day, where even
taking a breath at the same time and space
as you walked may be a precious thing
May be one moment you may be shining
with the stars as the shining shimmering
dust may carry us both elsewhere.
Tonight, we are here, on earth, living.
Thank you, mother earth!

Ridges and Crests

Yesterday I was full of emotions
With the thoughts of old acquaintances
Just couldn’t take anymore than most
Asking Him why must I always Trust?
Memories as old as several lifetimes
Flowing like river Mississippi in floods
Neither Harvey not Katrina
Could compare with the turmoil
I may have slithered in my memories lost
Like the rivers’ flood gates were opened for crest
His thoughts and remembrances crawling into
My flowing thoughts, a history as if
Flowing out of palms, right in front of the eyes!
No not sadness, nor is that joyous,
Bursting into flames of memories
Long buried, it seems as if yesterday
Although I deem it’s not any holiday
I reminisce day or night, not knowing
It is a lifetime may be a quarter century
Or nearly a spree, sinking into myself
Counting, ready, one, two and three
River Nile to Jordan, and beyond Mississippi
My thoughts flow as if it is all the way Ganges..
Oh river Brazos, my sister and my ethos
You know me perfectly, how I yearn to see yo
Every micro particle of sand under my feet
Walking across the river bed or on the sea shore
Stars looking down as I lay down sleeping
Staring at your shimmering shining sparkling galore
Oh lovely maiden of sleeplessness and brilliance
Sharing the stories of your splendor
You keep me smiling,, living and staying
Even as I miss Him, my knight in shining armor
Here comes the delight, when I saw a message
On one of the platform, caused by a glitch
It was a surprise, to see that he thought
Of me or my presence, even if fleeting
My memories, gasped in disbelief and joy
But I dare not wish him, it does not appear wiser
Or sane thing to get back in the narrow path
Binding us into blissful sorrows, it is only nice
To say I am sorry, was that a hacker, sharing
A hugging pair in a chain of valentine’s wishing
Neither him nor I were rude to break the silence
We oathed to keep, unspoken and unsung
Millennia may pass, and lives may come and go
But we stand for our solitude to keep the life going
Silently the Mississippi River goes on rolling
These stories are just some playful ideas of someone
Higher and superior to all living beings
As the world keeps moving and dreams keep shattering
Only to realize, this is the way of the Param Atman Aum...

Aham

I Am
A traveler I am.
Like the Sun in the East
Going towards West, a seeker I am
Village I came from has a Church, Mosque and Temple.
Back then, we celebrated eid, X-Mas and Makar-Sankranth
With same fervor, zeal and enthusiasm celebrating love!
Celebrating humanity and sharing happiness, praying the Lord above!
Above all, we all prayed, shared and stood for one and all who is Him,
In unison, we pray to the one and only who always says, I Am
Forever. “I Am”

The Eternal Song

What a pity it is, that, some songs

Are left unsung and unheard

These songs, now so rare

Some were sweet, some bitter

A mother's melodious voice

Singing a sweet lullaby as can be

Childhood sprouting from

The sleep of peaceful dreams

With the playful games,

Bringing joy and happiness

I remember hearing songs

Patriotic and inspiring

Energizing one with a spirit

Of action, performing duty

Making one reach goals

Loving the scenes from

Mountains to rivers,

Waterfalls to lakes

Songs turning obstacles

To move the mountains,

And reach every summit

I heard songs full of energy

To touch the skies and stars above

Life took turns and going in cycles

People changed, values degraded

Rules bent without passion

Yes, there was a song

With one point to prove,

Victory of good with a Celestial song.

Still, hoping that the unfinished song

Keeps on going, on and on.

Don't Feign Care, When You Don't!

Some songs unsung, unheard

Do stay on as if they are eternal

If there is something remaining

Gone are the bonds …

                 Of even that last thread

Sand castles, go hide and seek,

Catch me are not just games from childhood

You are preparing to see the dreams

Over and over again being created and destroyed,

just as the world is recreated so many times

You pretend to pour love

Measuring moments spent

In pennies and quarters, dimes and dollars

You measure families, as though commodities

You have reached a wrong door

Pray you find your path back.

Back where we all have arrived,

From that eternal home

Where Mother Goddess raises

All the folks with love not poison

With care not jealousy or horror

Seek Her, the Mother, of all

The most generous kind and loving

Ever nurturing mother earth,

care her so she can protect you, not pretend!

What Remains To Tell

Everything else passes through time
Art alone remains to tell that story
Nothing remains except dust or slime
Everything else passes through time
Justice served for a crime in its prime
Bringing them down from fame and glory
Everything else passes through time
Art alone remains to tell that story

Time To Wake Up, Krishna!

Jai SriKrishna, wake up, its morning!

Look! Its time, the birds are cooing

Why, even the bees are up, and buzzing

Jai SriKrishna, wake up, its morning!

Humanity is lost in darkness pervading

Larks are flying, the cows are mooing

Jai SriKrishna, wake up, its morning!

Look! Its time, the birds are cooing

trial of my first triolet on tell

In hope that you hear, I tell you dear
Life is but a bubble of joy if you let
It brightens as you do well for all, far or near
In hope that you hear, I tell you dear
You can be loving and caring, do not fear
Be joyful as you care with love; grim nor fret!
In hope that you hear, I tell you dear
Life is but a bubble of joy if you let

a Can Do Attitude

A broken vessel

Looks like a well

Bottomless, rimless pit

A broken shell

Has water full

Of residue from

Three rivers

One is dried up

Second needs to be born

Finding it’s way

Down the winding mountain

Third river being

Cluttered and unclean

Boil that water

Purify the filth

Redo the base,

Recover the edges

Dry it and save it

For future to shine

In the clear water

Undo the clutter

For the birds

For the butterflies

To flutter their wings

Carrying souls with a ‘Can do’ spirit

A Nonet Starts With Nine Syllables

On some days nothing seems to be right

Sometimes things go hazy or dull

Wishing it was shining bright

Day goes helter skelter

No reason or rhyme

Don't complain

Grin and bear

Dreamer

Gleam!

Shell

It’s a story of a well

In a remote place where the kings dwell

Girls couldn’t be in a shell

No matter it is three

Or a week into thirty three

It’s a girl, a Shree

While still in growing spells

Tissues and organs with tiny little cells

Bodies that can’t hear bells

Pulled out of slumber

From the mother's number

A bed of dark umber

There are thousands

Hanging in the deep seated bands

With no legs or hands

 Into the earth's womb

They travel into their dark tomb

Mom can not even comb

If by chance you hear

Baby girl’s cries, as the winds tear

With softness of a shear

‘Ma Lakshmi! the baby’s here!’

Alas in her world lasting a mere

Couple of cries to hear…

She is sent home

Into the milky ocean, with an Aum

Chanting as she drowns

Little does she know

The wells In that village show

Through the wind or snow

Not only to God’s name

But to the stars and soundless game

Those keep dumping the fame

There is no hiding

No, nothing dreading from abiding

It’s going sliding..

Music and Dance

What have you earned
Swirling around, round and round
With your tunes circling the earth
To moon and back,
A million views, a million  feelings
Twining them around your little finger
Hey Krishna
What have you earned?
Krishna What have you learned and taught.
Once on the left
Once on the right
You touch lightly with your
 shining peacock feathers
As the wind blows continuously
With no break as you
Play my heart and think
It is your constantly
Playing game of 'go
Seek and find' oh Lord Krishna!
What do you earn teaching and preaching
from birds to calves to  creatures remaining
Joining hands in a circle and playing
Your Raaga raagnis of yore
Linking to the farthest and wishing
You are here everyday
To play and sway and realize
I am nothing more than
A mound of clay,
That you beat to malliate me under the feet of fate
That keep playing thaa dir dir
Thana dir dir thaa dir dir thaat..
Taking away the best of kindred
Gone are the greatest performers
From Ravi Shanker to Alla Rakha,
Gone are beyond Tansen or Bismillah Khan to Zakir Hussein
As you Play Your Murali,
Swirling the wind through our wind pipes
letting the breath chant Krishna
with every breath of mine to thine..

Life Is A Joy, Enjoy..

My first cup of tea, I was sipping,
Early on a lazy Sunday morning
Saw a young girl playing by the lake
All alone, neither assuming nor fake

She was jumping with joy
Seeing the ducklings walk by
As the mother duck lead the way.
In my book, joy is when work is done.

Since many a time work is still remaining
Pure joy is something that I need to realize..
Not concerned about deadlines, nor targets
That limit the creativity inside their groves
I need to remember the sheer joy of love

Loving the birds, animals and mother earth
Feeling the tiny raindrops drizzling on face
As I walk by the fountains or soak in the rain
Picking up the fresh flowers from the garden
Whatever I do, when nature's showing a heaven

Alas! My imagination cannot go far,
Since I have left my childhood so afar
Winning and losing is a play back then
Life adjusts into an unassuming routine
The spirit left behind, in timeless turbine

There are moments when one can rejoice
Life need not always be an island of thorns
However small that one might realize
Indeed a friendly gesture, will not just please..
It will be giving every hope and a life with roses

Emotionless although everything is a chore
I remember my life indeed was lively encore
Watching on lakeside some kids uproar
I realize the little girl is not alone any more,
My joy returned, as I felt happy unto my core

Perhaps

World moves
As it revolves
All else does
With seasons,
Leaving reasons
Toiling our spirits
We move forth
Boys and girls
Turn into people
Learning skills
I believe, everything
Changes with ones
Hope, faith and vision
I suppose..

Another Day

Endless nights
Giving so many shivers
 As are infinte stars

Clouds hanging
Close to earth curling
With dancing lives

As Usual, In Your Passion

I think of you, as always
Telling myself, I am determined to sing
Lyrics somehow seem to be missing
Nether do I know the tune or a thing.

On days when it rains
Listening to the thunder
I think of you as going in your
Golden chariot across the clouds

The pool of water drenching me
I think of you showering with me
Rain brings such perfume from the earth
Filling the world in its aromatic breeze

It is so intoxicating and I can not feel anything
Other than your sweet love that I bathe in
As you are surrounding me everywhere, anytime
Water drops or whiff of wind gently touching

Pigeons are quiet as the night approaches
So are the birds that came from distance
I see some lonely birdlings crying for food
Some are still trying for shelter

Having outgrown the nest they grew in
They need a mate of their own
So their babies can share the world
That you so lovingly  created as you

For you protect the beings with life or without,
Narayana, name one thing that isn’t you
You being  the mom, dad, baby and their call
You are their food in the Spring Summer or Fall

Across oceans, meadows, or mountains tall
In all, baby I see you, yet you are so evasive of all!
Hold me Krishna, so I may not ever wander
Not knowing wither you are.. my sweet love!

This, One More..

May be I forgot
How you look
May be I do not recall
Having you ever met
It is OK life is too small to fret
On times I remember dreams
That brought us together
Walking hand in hand
Over the bridge across the lake
My mind tells me that it is
Just another day where
I simply do not hail
When we ever had our eyes set
Clashing each others thoughts
In a hazy mist and took me away
As we were lost in the thin air
Of less than nothingness…
That means O Krishna, everything
Forever yours!
